Output data tab

On this tab there are three sections: Categories, Products, and Variants.

The corresponding field mapping in each of them must take into account that:

  • The left-hand Shopify Name column:
    • Fields considered basic have predefined names that cannot be modified, in order to maintain compatibility with Shopify.
    • The rest of the fields must follow the proposed naming convention, depending on the field being sent or if it is a metafield.
  • The right-hand Related Field column is used to create the link with the specific PIM field and transfer the specific information to Shopify. It is selected from the dropdown list where all fields created in that table at the PIM level appear.
    • If a field should not be mapped, it can be filled using formulas, assigning it the option “empty field.” For more details, consult the following article: Formulas.

For sending variants, it is necessary to add at least one of their attributes to the Variants tab, such as Color or Size, for example. Additionally, remember that a product can have up to 100 variants with a maximum of 3 attributes each.

Connection Rules Between Items in Sales Layer and Shopify

  • All products added to Sales Layer will be created in Shopify, and from that moment they will be linked.
  • If preexisting products need to be connected by SKU, the channel will link them only if they have no variants and the products share the same SKU.

Attention: In the case of connecting the channel with an existing Shopify store, the channel will ignore all preexisting items and will only edit products coming from Sales Layer by searching for SKUs in Shopify.

Once the field mapping is completed, you can click the Save and Complete button at the bottom of the page. The connector created will appear within the account’s connectors.
