Item statuses in Shopify

Collections/Categories

• Collections in Shopify do not have a global status field like products do (e.g., active, draft, archived). their visibility is managed by publishing or unpublishing them for each specific Sales Channel, using the published_scope field 

Products

• Active: The product is ready to be sold in the shop. Visible status in Sales Layer.
• Archived: The product is no longer for sale. Invisible status in Sales Layer.
• Draft: The product is not ready to be sold. Draft status in Sales Layer.

Variants

• They have no status.
• If variants are excluded from a sync, the will be eliminated in Shopify
