Images

Sales Layer can send images as URLs along with the product data that you submit via AFS.

AMAZON is working on image validation to respond with an AFS recognition report for the images, as for the data validation and data report. So with this initial release, Sales Layer can submit images and the customer can validate if those were successfully processed in vendor central or on the catalog website.

Previous requirements

  1. Sales Layer can send images as URL in MEDIA URL attribute. You can send the MAIN image and up to 8 other images (eg, FRONT, REAR, etc.) using subtypes PT01 to PT08.
  2. The allowed file format is JPG, PNG, TIFF, or GIF (JPG preferably).
  3. Color must be RGB or CMYK (RGB is preferred because CMYK color may have color variations on the website).
  4. The resolution must be at least 72 dpi.
  5. The ideal size is 1000 pixels on the longest side so that images can be enlarged on site. The minimum file size is 500 pixels either in height or in width.
  6. Unique validation for a provider: For each provider, there is a unique validation / whitelist. The first time Sales Layer submits images, AMAZON sends the image data internally and submits it for whitelisting / validation. After a successful validation, AMAZON reprocesses the image data; subsequently it is cataloged. Process may take from 3 to 5 business days after sending the first synchronization. Once it is published, the next set of data will be processed in a few hours (maximum 48 hours).
