AI Agents


This new functionality allows teams to create AI-assisted workflows that help automate and improve product information management.


AI Agents are designed to support users with common catalog tasks such as translating product content, improving existing text, generating new content and applying Business Rules to update product data more efficiently.


AI-assisted catalog workflows


With AI Agents, users can configure actions based on the data they want to work with and the result they want to generate. This helps reduce manual work and gives teams a more scalable way to manage repetitive content tasks.


Agents can be used with different tables in Sales Layer, including Products, Categories, Variants and Custom Entities.


Available actions


The first available AI Agent actions include Translate, Improve text, Create Content and Business Rules.


The Translate action helps complete multilingual content by generating translations for selected languages and fields.


The Improve text action helps correct and enhance existing text, making descriptions and other content fields clearer and more complete.


The Create Content action uses selected input fields to generate new content with AI.


The Business Rules action allows users to update fields using configured rules, helping automate structured data transformations.


Review before applying changes


AI Agents also include a review option that allows users to check proposed changes before applying them to the catalog.


This gives teams more control over AI-generated updates, as they can review the results, approve them or discard them before the changes are applied.


Glossary and custom instructions


AI Agents also support glossary management and custom instructions for translation actions.


These options help teams keep translated content aligned with their preferred terminology, tone and catalog requirements.


Recommended use


When working with AI Agents, we recommend starting with controlled selections of items, attributes and languages. This helps users review the results more easily and keeps the number of generated changes manageable.
