Sales Layer AI Agents now offer more options for automatically running agents when changes occur in your PIM.

This update expands the Run on Changes functionality, allowing agents to react to both the creation and updating of items.

Run agents when items are created using any method

Agents configured with Run on Changes > Created can now be triggered regardless of how the new item is created in Sales Layer.

This applies to:

• Products
• Variants
• Categories
• Custom Entities

The agent can be triggered when an item is created through any of the supported creation methods, including:

• Manual creation and imports in Sales Layer
• Imports and custom connectors
• REST API

This means that an agent configured to run when an item is created can automatically process new content even when that content enters the PIM through an external integration.

Run agents when items are updated

A new Run on Changes > Updated trigger is also available.

With this trigger, an agent can automatically run when an existing Product, Variant, Category, or Custom Entity is modified through supported update processes.

In this release, the Updated trigger supports changes made through:

• The Sales Layer interface
• Import and custom connectors

More event-driven automation

These improvements make it easier to automate workflows based on changes to your product information.

For example, you can configure an agent to automatically enrich newly created items, or process existing items when their information is modified, without having to run the agent manually each time.

As support for event-based execution continues to expand, more types of changes and workflows can be automated directly with AI Agents.
