FAQs - Importing Information

1. How can I add labels or categories without deleting the previous ones during an import?

R: To add content in some fields without deleting what has been previously inserted and without duplicating content, only add the ++ signs at the beginning of the field.

Example: ++newcategory,newcategory2

This works with categories, labels, and images in the list type and the related item field.

The same rule applies to file type fields of an import connector. Using ++ in the CSV, you will add the new information to the existing one.

2. The import connector hasn't started importing the information yet. Why?

R: If you have a manual import running, at the same time, the import through the connector will start 5 minutes after the manual import is over.

3. The import connector is returning an "access denied" error. Why?

R: The "access denied" error "We were forbidden access to the resource given in the URL" is due to the configured permissions. Therefore, you need to ensure that our IPs are whitelisted, so that, the system can access the file. Another reason could be related to the CSV file configuration, for instance, if it does not have read permissions on the server This could also cause errors.

4. How can I import a specific language contained in my input CSV file?

R: You can import several languages using an input CSV file, as shown in the screenshot below:

If you want to import only one specific language, you can use the following formula: GET_COLUMN_VALUE(“name:es”).

5. Why am I getting an empty CSV download from the option of the last imported version of the connector?

R: If the linked CSV contains special characters in the name (for example, spaces, commas, quotes, etc.) the system likely cannot download it optimally. For this reason, it is highly recommended to avoid using these characters in the names of linked or saved files in Sales Layer.
