1. Some files don’t download on my website but others do. Does Sales Layer restrict some extensions?

R: If the file doesn’t have any Sales Layer errors and can be downloaded correctly from the corresponding account or connectors, the restrictions usually come from the browsers that, for security reasons, block the download of some file extensions, like .step, .dxf, and others. If this happens, we can modify the "Export secure links" (SSL) connector option by setting it to "Yes". This should solve the problem in most cases.

 

2. Can I upload a zip file into the platform without it being unzipped?

R: Yes, it’s possible. When you upload a ZIP manually into the Files library, the system automatically unzips it and stores all the items, which are saved inside it. If you want to keep the zip format in the library, simply place it inside another zip before the upload: the first zip will be uncompressed and your zip file will be saved as it is.

If you upload your files using a synchronization list, that’s even easier: in such a case, it is enough to locate the zip in the list and it will be imported into the library without being unzipped.
