What are Attribute Sets?

Modified on Wed, 13 May at 12:49 PM

An Attribute Set defines a product type in Sales Layer. It determines which fields are available and how they are shown in the form.

  • It keeps the form relevant for each product type.
  • It reduces errors by hiding fields that do not apply.
  • It makes data entry faster and more consistent across teams.
  • It supports different structures for different product lines.

Where you see it in Sales Layer

You typically select an Attribute Set when creating or editing a product. The form layout and visible tabs can change depending on the Attribute Set.

Common example

A T-shirt needs size, fit, and material fields. A Lamp needs bulb type, voltage, and energy rating fields. These can be managed with different Attribute Sets.
