Setup time
The configuration of your WooCommerce store can vary in time, from one day to 3 months, depending on several factors such as data preparation, e-commerce customization (including additional plugins), server specifications, and the experience of the implementer.
Backup
Before moving to the production environment, it is advisable to make a secure copy or export of all your products if your WooCommerce store is already in operation. This preserves the original data.
Product Management
Once the connector is implemented, it is preferable to manage all product information from Sales Layer and not from WooCommerce. Changes made directly in WooCommerce will not be reflected in Sales Layer, which can lead to inconsistencies in product information (except for stock updates, which are recommended to be done directly in the e-commerce).
Test environment
It is highly recommended to have a staging or testing environment that replicates the configurations and plugins of the production environment. The connector must be tested in this environment before being deployed in production.
Access to the Production Server
The implementer must have access to the production server and be familiar with the plugin configuration and the server where it is hosted.
Initial tests
Perform initial imports with a small sample of data to facilitate quick testing and ensure proper connector operation.
Additional Considerations
- Once the connection between Sales Layer and WooCommerce is established, all changes made in Sales Layer will be reflected in the e-commerce.
- The plugin is open-source and connects generically and simply to e-commerce, taking into account possible vulnerabilities and specific customer cases.
- Despite being customizable, Sales Layer is not responsible for the customization or maintenance of such modifications. Also, if you customize the default WooCommerce tables (for example, by removing columns or tables), this can affect the connection with Sales Layer.
For additional services such as consulting and integrations, separate agreements can be established with our specialized partner.
Warning: Our API is configured to send all changes made in Sales Layer, even if they are not included within the connector filters. For example, if we set up a connector to export only visible items and modify invisible or draft products, the API will return these changes and send the invisible and draft items as "Deleted", which will disable the items in e-commerce.

Several circumstances may influence the installation, such as:
- The channel’s configuration settings.
- The customization of e-commerce.
- Other plugins were previously installed.
