Limits and performance

Performance

The synchronization speed depends on many circumstances such as the number of items, the quantity of data required, the number of images to upload and their size, the CPU load, the database power, and more.

For example, in an initial synchronization of 30 items, synchronization has yielded the following approximate time results for each category, product, or variant:

  • Categories: 0.10 - 0.16 seconds, around 0.13 seconds.
  • Products: 0.43 - 0.55 seconds, around 0.51 seconds.
  • Variants: 0.23 - 0.52 seconds, around 0.33 seconds.

To take into account:

  • All variants of that product will be sent. For example, if a product in Sales Layer has 50 variants, when modifying only one, 50 will be synchronized.
  • The “Force refresh” button in the Sales Layer “Parameters” tab increases synchronization time compared to the scheduled synchronization duration.

Functional

  • Clients must have a server with WordPress, WooCommerce, and cURL installed.
  • It is not possible to map fields created by third parties. If any difficulties arise, please contact our support team directly.
  • The predefined fields in the connector that are not used should be disabled to prevent data in WooCommerce from being altered. Otherwise, an unmapped field could empty the data information in WooCommerce. This happens with attributes in variants and characteristics in products already defined in the connector.
    • If an existing predefined field is empty mapped, then it is linked and overwritten in WooCommerce, and it must be filled if it is mandatory.
  • It is not recommended to use values with special characters in reference fields such as ^, <, >, ;, =, {, or }, as WooCommerce may not accept them, which may cause references to be altered or duplicated.
  • All products must have at least one category assigned.
  • The variants of the same product must have the same attributes completed, with different values.
  • The variant attributes must be created in WooCommerce before synchronizing.
  • Only one image size can be exported.
  • Item SKUs are unique and cannot be repeated.
  • The WordPress site list is limited to 100 sites.

Considerations

  • The performance data shown here is indicative.
  • The limitations described here may vary depending on the version. Some features may be incompatible with what is described in the manual.
