Sales Layer includes an intelligent search bar to access instantly to the items you are looking for.

The new search engine (V2) of Sales Layer allows more specific and complex searches.

How to use chains

To include chains in searches, you can use:
+ sign (indicates “and contains…”),
- sign (indicates “and does not contain…”)
space (indicates “or contains…”).

Example: “new car” +red

This search will list all the items that contain in any of its fields “new car” and the word “red”.

Example: “new car” +red -little

This search will list all items containing “new car” and the word “red”, but not containing the word “little”.

Example: “big car” “great car”

This search will list all items containing “big car” or “great car”.

Searching inside a particular field

If we want to look in a particular field, we can use the key “field:” followed by the name of the field, followed by any these symbols (:, =, >, <, >=, <=, <>) and the word, number or desired quoted phrase.

Example: field:product title=”big red car”

This search will list the exact product with the title “big red car”

Example: field:product title:”big car”

This search will list the products containing the phrase “big car” in the title.

Example: field:product title:”big car” +field:price>125

This search will list the products containing the phrase “big car” in the title, and with a value greater than 125 in the “price” field.

Searching inside multilingual fields

If you want to search in a multilingual field in an specific language, we can indicate it at the end of the field name in brackets and two descriptive language characters based on ISO 639-1 code table.

Example: field:product title(en):”big car”

Looking for empty fields

You can also list the items that have any value or an empty field using the sign “”.

Example: field:description(en):””

Or the opposite:

Example: field:description(en)<>””

Or denying:

Example: field:title:car -field_description=””
